Relatives in the vicinity have been apprised of the death of George M. Crow, age 87 years, which occurred Sunday, July 26th, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Earl Shaffer, Lancaster, Calif., internment taking place in Grand View Cemetery, Glendale, Calif., Tuesday, the 28th of July, where his wife, Mrs. Rebecca Colvin Crow and his twin brother, James T. Crow are buried.
Mr. Crow, son of Benjamin and Susan Crow, was for many years engaged in the lumber business in Fallowfield Township. He resided in this city for a time, later removing to a farm near Warren, Ohio, which he had purchased.
From there he went to California, where he owned and operated a fruit and vegetable farm, near Burbank, but after the death of his wife, he retired, making his home with his children.
In addition to Mrs. Shaffer, other surviving children are Mrs. Thomas Smith, Saugus, California, Mrs. Edward Matthews, Los Angeles, California and Mrs. Alva Barr, Mantua, Ohio. Several grandchildren and a few great grand children also survive.
